one of my favorite things

This is a little delayed but as we all know, my posts are sparce...

I just wanted to write about one of my favorite things :)

It always comes this time of year, during "the holidays" which for me start with the coming of October, it's usually starting to cool down, kind of changing seasons, and all of my favorite holidays are ahead...

And along with these holidays is one of my favorite things... pumpkin!!!

Last year I had a count of how many pumpkin things I could eat, I think it was something like 10+

So this year I wanted to continue the tradition but life got in the way and now I can't remember them all but wanted to write down my favorite ones/the ones I can remember and this year I added anything pumpkin flavored/scented that I could enjoy by digesting or otherwise.

1. IHop pumpkin pancakes

2. saw at B&B and had to have it plus it was on sale!

3. i love almost any pumpkin scent, got this years at target

4. pumpkin coffee :) this year we purchased this for the apartment

5. but i am a sucker for starbucks :)

6. and their pumpkin muffins with cream cheese, yum!

7. and of course the classic pumpkin loaf

8. and can't forget the best thanks[giving] treat

9. newly discovered this year, pumpkin ice cream at the best of all ice cream shops

The goal each year is to add more to the list, now this way we can look back without having to relay on my brilliant memory!

Just wanted to share my slight obsession with you - Hope you enjoyed :)

heart & soul

I think I may very well be obsessed with this:

It just makes me happy and want to dance.
Oh Hanson, how I love thee.

amarillo

Sitting in a hotel room [like all the time] can be a lonely thing. However, if you can remind yourself of why you're there and it's a good reason [or you can at least turn it in to one] then you can stay positive, at least 95% of the time. I've been in Amarillo, Texas for about 3 weeks and before that I'd been here 2.5 weeks with a few days at home in between. This is all compounded by the fact that I had moved home about two weeks prior to that... Let's just say the last six months have been a pretty crazy road and at "the end" I never thought I'd be in Texas. Thankfully I have only two weeks left and it's not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. So about that positive stuff... Amarillo is not as boring as I originally anticipated, my coworkers are all great, and I've even made some cool friends, and I'm making money which in my case is much needed.

[amarillo has a thing for horses]

**The thing about this blog thing is that I am horrible at doing it and thus it makes me want to back track and tell about my move and being home, but I'm not sure that's really the point of a blog. So take this grain for now, and eventually, hopefully sooner, I'll be back :)
